The Business Owners Guild is an Ireland-wide community for business owners who want to build better businesses, connect with other owners, use technology intelligently, and have a stronger collective voice.
Purpose
Why we exist
Ownership is a particular kind of responsibility. The decisions that matter most — about people, money, direction and risk — usually sit with one or two people, and rarely with anyone they can talk to freely inside the business.
The Guild exists to change that. It brings owners together in a structured, credible setting where the conversation is about building capability, improving performance, and increasing the value and independence of the business.
Philosophy
Human-led. AI-enabled.
Judgement, trust and leadership are human. Technology and AI are how owners buy back time, improve productivity, and compete with organisations far larger than them.
We will introduce practical AI and productivity resources progressively, always in service of the business — never as technology for its own sake.
Owner-only
Why owner-only communities matter
When a room is filled with owners, partners and chief executives, the conversation changes. There is no selling, no positioning, and no need to explain what it feels like to make the final call.
That is why membership is qualified: shareholders and business owners, partners in an operating business, and CEOs — with a core focus on businesses of more than three employees or contractors and the ambition to grow.

Our relationship with TAB
The Guild is powered by The Alternative Board Ireland. TAB brings decades of business-building methodology, peer Advisory Boards and one-to-one strategic coaching to owner-led businesses.
The Guild is not a replacement for TAB. It widens access to owner community, methodology and strategic thinking, while TAB remains the premium, high-touch pathway.

Chapters across Ireland
The Guild is Ireland-wide. Members belong to the national community and experience it locally through chapters.
The first chapter launches in Dublin 15 on 15 October 2026. Further chapters will follow, shaped by where members are.
